This game is so simple, so addictive and so difficult. I guess that adds up to a near perfect game; Double Maze.
In Double Maze there’s a two 6*6 grid. The idea is to take your balls and get them to the exit point. The catch is that you control both balls simultaneously and even the first level may get to tough. I have sneaking suspicion that we’ll seeing lots of Double Maze clones in near future.
Here’s a flash game with really good graphics: Samorost 2. Whether you like the game or now the graphics simply attract you for more.
As the name suggests this game is sequel to the one of the greatest flash games, Samorost. In the first chapter, which is free online, you try to rescue a cute dog from the aliens. The second chapter, which is a pay-for-play download ($6.90 USD), continues at the point of the first chapter’s cliffhanger ending. What you receive is a zip archive of the entire Samorost 2 game, including both chapters, for a seamless interactive experience.
As with the first, each level in Samorost 2 contains puzzles that must be solved to advance the main character through the adventure. A puzzle usually consists of clicking on an object to activate, a creature to perform an action, or a location to move to. Some puzzles require multiple actions to be performed; some in a particular sequence, and others with precise timing. And while none of the puzzles are very difficult, there are a couple that will require thought and reasoning to work out what must be done.
I’ve introduced you to Line Rider some time ago. A wonderful game which started as a school project has become a hype. Tens of mods appeared immediately. This week the official follow-up has been anounced: Line Rider 2.
The follow-up includes some notable improvements. And here is the real news; game will soon be available for both the Nintendo DS and Nintendo Wii. I’m very happy in behalf of the Slovenian creator, Bostjan Cadez for he proved that good, creative, work is always rewarded.
As you will notice there’s contest for the best ride now. Expect to see hundredes of fans uploading their work everyday.
Cross the river
It’s rumoured that the following riddle is used to asked during job interviews in Japan:
The rules are fairly easy. A mother, a father, two girls, two boys, a policeman and a convict are to cross the river with a boat. The conditions are:
- The convict cannot be alone with any member of the family without the policeman.
- The father cannot be with the daugther(s) if the mother is not there.
- The mother cannot be with the boy(s) if the father is not there.
- Only the father, the mother and the policeman know how to sail the boat (so one of them should be on the boat on each crossing)
- The boat holds at most 2 people.
Well, I have no intention to test your IQ. Rather, you’ll have a chance to test how careless you are. To go to the flash page click here.
